WHAT'S
ON THIS WEEK?! By Prof. Marco Verweij The Lee Kuan Yew School Public Policy National University of Singapore presents this talk. Prof Verweij will argue that this widely praised international treaty is insufficient, is not being implemented, would be prone to increase corruption, bad governance and international disagreement if implemented, and will not be renewed or strengthened. He will also outline an alternative set of proposals that aim to curb climate change on the basis of domestic policies that would facilitate those companies that are endeavouring to make renewable energy cheaper than fossil energy. Prof Verweij is associate professor of political science at the Singapore Management University, and an external fellow of the James Martin Institute for Science and Civiliation at Oxford University. more on the ecotax listing.
