Sensory Trail at Pulau Ubin, Singapore

Ubin Sensory Trail
1.5 kms, 1-1.5 hours to walk, easy flat trail with hand holds and braille notices for the visually impaired.

The trail was developed in 1995 to allow the visually handicapped a chance to experience Ubin using their senses of touch and smell. The project was undertaken by the SAVE (Students Against Violating the Environment) club of Singapore American School (SAS) and the Nature Society (Singapore) (NSS). In 2000, the trail was formally adopted by the SAS (Singapore American School) and SAVH (Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped) under the National Parks Board's Adopt-a-Park Scheme.

There is also a small garden with fruit trees, spices and herbs for cooking, plants used in traditional medicine and native plants of the mangrove forest.
