16 Jul (Sat): Free guided walk of the Pasir Panjang Heritage Trail

As part of Heritage Fest 2005, join volunteers of the the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research, NUS in collaboration with Reflections at Bukit Chandu, NHB on the Heritage trail to learn about the ecosystem of Kent Ridge Park and the Battle of Pasir Panjang. 16 Jul (Sat): Vertebrate Survey Group walk at Botanic Gardens
open to NSS members only

Nick Baker and Timothy Pwee lead this VSG walk to search for elusive creatures that call the Botanic Gardens home. Catch glimpses of our native squirrels, lizards and bats. After dark, the ornamental ponds are a haven for various frog species. Two sessions will be held. Numbers are limited to 20 persons each session.

Time: First session 1630-1830hrs; Second session 1930-2130hrs

Main Bridge16 Jul (Sat): Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve free guided walk

You'll see the fabulous plants and animals of the mangroves and freshwater wetlands. Besides the abundant bird life, there is also other fascinating wildlife in the Reserve. more

4pm: Free Marine Fish Guided Walk at Sungei Buloh introducing you to the fabulous fishes of the Reserve.

Time: 9am, 10am, 3pm, 4pm, for walk in guests, register at the Visitor Centre. Those coming with large groups are advised to pre-register.
Tour duration: one to one and a half hours. Easy trails, some suitable for young children.
Entry charges: $1 per adult, 50cents per child/student/senior citizen.
