Nature activities and events happening this week 15-21 Dec 2003 20 Dec (Sat): Free visit to Khatib Bongsu Time: 7.30am at the Dam of the Lower Seletar Reservoir at the end of Yishun Avenue 1 Visit Khatib Bongsu with Ho Hua Chew of the Nature Society (Singapore) who will be looking at how much the projected development will affect this nature area as it has not been included into the URA Master Plan. You will also enjoy the open spaces and the scenic beauty, and do a spot of birdwatching too. More details at the NSS Conservation Committee website. Contact: contact@nss.org.sg or call 6 741 2036. 20 Dec (Sat): Free guided walk of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Time: 9am, 10am, 3pm, 4pm You'll see the fabulous plants and animals of the mangroves and freshwater wetlands. Meet at the Visitor Centre. Usual entry charges apply: $1 per adult, 50cents per child /student/senior citizen.
