Lives
and families will be destroyed
CASINO or no casino, we love to visit Singapore as often as
we can. As a former long-term resident of Singapore, I hope the Government
does not allow casinos in any form. They are pure evil in destroying
lives and families. The Government should look at various rehabilitation
and assistance schemes for gamblers and their families in the eastern
states of Australia to see the impact of gambling on wider society.
Out of curiosity, I once visited the Star casino in Sydney. I saw
many people, old and young but mostly old, glued to the screens playing
continuously and continuously smoking. You don't have to visit hell
to see people sucked into evil.
