NewsAsia 25 Aug 06 Woodlands library gets environment corner for children By Valarie Tan SINGAPORE : Woodlands Regional Library has dedicated a special corner just for the environment. The section was set up jointly by the National Environment Agency and the National Library Board. There are interactive games, and music for children to sing along to - all part of efforts to let the young learn about issues concerning the environment, like reducing waste and dengue prevention. The so-called "visual doorway" is on the 4th floor of the library and will be officially opened on Saturday. - CNA /ct links Related articles on Singapore: general environmental issues |
