Nov 05 12-foot python caught in Toa Payoh by Hasnita A. Majid, Channel NewsAsia SINGAPORE : A 12-foot python caused a stir at Block 212, Lorong 8 Toa Payoh on Thursday evening. The python had been sighted more than 10 days ago but residents believed it had been hiding in a water pipe. An odd-job labourer and his friend who tried to catch the python then, were successful this time round - when they managed to lure it out with a slab of meat. The police were called in and the snake was put in a sack and taken away. links Related articles on Singapore's biodiversity status, threats, commercial applications of biodiversity |
